I provide chairside assistance to Dr. Megibow during dental procedures to ensure he has everything needed to provide excellent patient care. I began working with Dr. Megibow in 2000 but my career in assisting started in 1992. I had wonderful hands-on training and several years of experience in oral surgery before coming here. I enjoy getting to know our patients and the relationships I’ve developed with them over the years. Our staff is my “work family.” We all work well together, know each other very well, and genuinely enjoy spending time together.
I have three grown children and three adorable grandchildren with whom I enjoy spending time. When I can, I like gardening and doing crafts, although much of my time is spent with my elderly parents.
Registered Dental Hygienist
I attended Tunxis Community College in Farmington for my Associate of Science in dental hygiene, and graduated from the University of Connecticut, Waterbury, with my bachelor’s in general studies with a focus on human development and family studies. Every day I help our patients achieve optimum oral health and a great smile, and I have wonderful conversations along the way. We discuss their habits and how to develop better ones, making good nutritional decisions, and the best oral hygiene practices to keep their mouths healthy at home. I enjoy getting to know my patients on a personal level and reassuring them that cleanings can be painless and beneficial.
I love spending time with my family. My husband and I have been together for more than five years and have a wonderful daughter named Ellie. We love animals and have quite a few at home: our Shih-poo mix Oliver, two cats, three turtles, a chameleon, and a tank of African cichlids! Most of all, I enjoy being a mom and taking Ellie to her sporting events.
I spend one-to-one time with patients and perform regular and deep cleanings, take X-rays, and provide oral hygiene instruction. I love helping people learn the best way to keep their mouth in great condition for years of beautiful smiles! I’ve had the pleasure of spending 18 of my 40-plus years in dentistry here with Dr. Megibow. The team effort and friendships I’ve made have me excited to come to work every day.
I have two daughters of whom I am incredibly proud. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy cuddles with my cat, spending time with my girlfriends, being active in church, going snow skiing, and cheering on the Seattle Seahawks!
Registered Dental Hygienist
I began my career in dentistry in 1972 as an assistant, and continued my training to become a dental hygienist. I am especially proud of my career because I went back to college full time in my 30s. It wasn’t easy being a mom, wife, classroom mom, and full-time student, but it taught my children that if I could fulfill my childhood dreams, so could they. Now, as an RDH, I am able to assess my patients’ needs on an individual basis, provide preventive care, and review home care customized to each person’s ability. I take great pride in being able to put my patients at ease, regardless of their age.
I am happily married and have two children and two stepchildren, all adults. I also have two adorable grandsons and another on the way! In my free time, my hubby and I enjoy going to flea markets and spending time with our grandkids, and I knit and crochet for my online Etsy shop, Happy Hygienist Gifts. I also have 92- and 88-year-old parents whom I help out on a regular basis.
I am here to make sure everything in the office runs smoothly and efficiently, so I manage and oversee routine office procedures, patient insurance issues, and accounts receivable. My hope is that when I take care of the business side, Dr. Megibow and the rest of our team can concentrate on our patients and their care. One of the most rewarding aspects of this job is seeing the patients who started here as children grow into young adults. I love that I have a job that allows me to get to know so many wonderful families from our community.
I was born and raised in Stamford. My husband and I have two grown daughters and four grandchildren. I love watching my grandchildren as they grow up, and I love going to the beach whenever I find the time.
